to move or not to move, that is the question

so while this is kind of a repeat of an old post, i feel that i am in constant confusion about whether to stay in utah or move back to california! i hate, correction, i HATE living so far away from my family. it's the #1 reason for moving back to cali- if they would move here, the majority of my reasons for wanting to move out of the 45th state and back to the 31st are gone, granted there's still the quality of education, and the desire for my kids to feel what's it's like to not be part of the majority when it comes to religion, to have people watching, i know maybe it sounds mean, but it was a huge part of school for me, people wondering why i was different, and what was a mormon. i want my kids to grow up spending more time at their grandparents in the summer playing with their cousins than just the week or two we might be able to make it out for.
i love our home here. granted it still needs more remodeling, but i continue to entertain ideas in my head about what we could do, believe me, it would be amazing! so the debate is, do i stay here because i'm comfortable, and it's easy. we have good jobs, great friends, a good ward and we like our neighbors, or is it really just better for us to be here because this is where we are supposed to be, and it's going to be the best place for us to raise our little family? i feel when i pray about it i've almost become martin harris like, i keep asking and i'm afraid answers i'm getting are just because i've been praying to move back to california since january 3, 2000, the day i got here, and it's time to go, and move and be happy about it, or stay, be quiet and be happy about it! AHHH! sometimes i just need to see things on paper to help me make a decision, maybe it will work this time now that i'm throwing it out into the universe....maybe...

5k anyone?

So today my sister in law Manu and I ran in the Salt Lake City Marathon, 5k. We finished IN 43:35!! THEY JUST POSTED OFFICAL TIMES! WE TIED AND I AM SUPER EXCITED THAT WE DID A BETTER TIME!There were literally thousands of people there running and walking, entire families. Those parents are a lot braver than I am, I'd end up having to carry Mason and Kennedy, and that would not be any fun! I'm glad I did it, even though my allergies have me feeling less than stellar. Manu's been training since Jan, I've been "training" for a little over a month, and I use the term "training" loosely, I do go to the gym nearly everyday, but only for 45 min, switching it up between the treadmill, elliptical, and weights. Part of me would like to be more serious about it and start really training say for a 1/2 marathon or something, but for now I'm going to be very content, doing a 5k a month, not sure where May's will be, June will be Nestle/Springville Art City Music Days, July not sure, but August, my goal is to do the 5k at Disneyland, it goes through both Disneyland and dca, and I am all for it, anyone else care to join us, I'd love it, or come to cheer, it's fun and maybe one of these years, I will finally lose the baby weight!

ok, so i gotta admit, i still know most of the words to many of the new kids on the block songs, and i also gotta admit, i felt old today when at the gym i saw them on the today show. so much so that i kept switching treadmills as people got off so i could move closer to the tv just so make sure that was really them looking like men in their mid-late thirties, wow! not my most effective workout, but at least i was there right? so i hopped onto http://www.nkotb.com/, signed up to receive emails from them (did i really just re-join their fan club?) listened to a track of their new song, yes, they are going on tour again, and yea, i still think they're "cute" and would still love to see them! so who's with me for a early 90s flashback

colors?

so i am realizing, i am picky about colors, especially when it comes to painting my house. however, i also realize the reason i am painting and thereby picking colors is because i want to sell my house, so i am not picking colors that i necesarily like, but colors that will help the house sell and be appealing to most, if not all buyers....again too much hgtv, so without any further ado, the color we painted our master bath is ....blue. not quite as overwhelming as it sounds,it'a a very pale, icy blue, but the overall feeling of our bathroom, (when we finish of course) is going to be a spa retreat, so let me know what you think
